Happy New Year!
Ok, I know I’m a little late to the party, but the truth is—it just now feels like the New Year to me. The more connected I’m becoming with the energy of the seasons and stars, the more I’m feeling the effects on my concept of time.
With the new moon solar eclipse the other day, I finally feel the shift in energy from 2018 to 2019.
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you might have noticed a little name change.
One thing I love about owning a spiritually based business is that I feel like I can let things flow organically (with balanced effort) and they will always lead me down the right path.
Raw + Revolution has evolved this past year into something different from the initial vision and with that, the energy of the new space I’m holding didn’t match the energy of the words it lived in.
I seek alignment in everything I do, so naturally as the name and intention of this platform started to mis-match, I sought to find a word that held the energetic frequency of this new space. Raw & Ritual was born to hold the energy of devotion, depth, initiation and grounded action.
This is a place for deep, modern spiritual exploration and I’m so excited to start diving into spiritual topics that really kicked off my spiritual path and awakening journey—spirit guides, energy healing, sacred contracts, archetypes, mantras and meditation for beginners, etc.
Revolt Against Resolutions
The New Year is infamous for making us feel terrible about our willpower.
Each year we all come together collectively and set individual resolutions that are mostly superficial—eat less sugar, work out more, journal regularly, stop ordering carry out so frequently, the list goes on and on.
Most of the time, resolutions don’t work. I could give you at least 100 reasons why—90 of them would be energetic. It’s all energy baby.
The reason we have trouble resolving the things we choose in the new year isn’t because we lack will-power, it’s because they either lack depth in meaning or there is an energetic reason the behavior persists despite being perceived as “negative”.
If there isn’t the right energy accessible to put behind change, it simply can’t happen.
So, I’m giving you permission to throw your resolutions out the window for a new one. What if you made the resolution to live an intentional year?
For real, continued success and improvement, we need to be assessing ourselves and setting bite sized intentions on a regular basis. Less pressure, more grace. Less random selection, more conscious connection to what we want to cultivate.
To get you started I created a free ebook—it’s not everything, but it’s the place to start.
