Fall Reflection Journal Prompts

October Reflection Journal Prompts

It’s starting to get cooler here in the Northern Hemisphere as cozy sweaters, socks, and sweatshirts make their way out of closets. Even if you’re in warmer weather climates North of the Equator, it’s time to align with the fall season for a little rest, relaxation, and ritual.

As we grow older through adolescence and our young adult years, we lose pieces of ourselves through familial, societal, and cultural conditioning. Someone has a reaction to something we said or did, and we learn “oh, I can’t do that anymore” or worse “I can’t BE that anymore.” Our environment molds us, and often we become a reflection of the health and beliefs of those around us.

Here’s the thing, this happens to everyone unconsciously, but where it starts to create problems is when we end up in a life that is so far and so out of alignment with our true selves.

For this month’s inner deep dive, I’m inviting you to journal:

  • Who were you before the world told you who to be?

  • Who were you before you were deeply hurt and heartbroken?

  • What makes you different than other people around you?

  • Who celebrates your differences and sees your brilliance?

For example, sensitivity is a SUPERPOWER. If you’re an empath, growth isn’t about turning it off to be like everyone else. Growth is understanding what feelings are yours vs. holding other people’s stuff and how to create boundaries.

I believe we are each made to be exactly who we are, as we are. Our differences need to be celebrated. It’s what makes us different than others that is often our biggest superpower.

If you don’t have someone who celebrates you, shoot me an email through the contact form link at the bottom of the page and I will be your champion, genuinely. We all need someone to see us in our brilliance because we all are.
